On March 14th, Barbara Martin was honored for her dedication and leadership of KMA Design at the 2013 BusinessWomen First Awards sponsored by the Pittsburgh Business Times. Barbara’s friends and family gathered to celebrate and honor her receipt of this prestigious award. Martin, nominated by colleague William David Kosick, was one of 25 recipients of the BusinessWomen First award, all of which share inspirational values and commitment to accomplishing quality workmanship and empowering women throughout the Pittsburgh region. The event included a two-hour Women’s Leadership Reception with BusinessWomen First Awards alumni, followed by a gala dinner and awards ceremony. KMA Design would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the winners and thank all who attended the event to honor the region’s most influential businesswomen.
On April 19, 2013, Martin will also be awarded the Diamond Award. The Diamond Award honors 17 of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s outstanding business leaders recognizing these leader’s accomplishments, customer service philosophies, employee relationships, community contributions and for shaping their businesses to thrive in the Pittsburgh region and economy.
