Walt Disney World Resort
ORLANDO, FL
Elaborating on the concept created by Walt Disney Imagineering, the design team was responsible for the design development, construction documents and construction administration of all signage/graphic components on the “gateway” features. The intent of the entrances is to boldly announce to park guests the transition from state and county roadways to Disney property. To clearly enhance the visitors’ experience, one travels under the arch which spans 80 feet over multiple lanes of inbound traffic at EPCOT and World Drives and Hotel Plaza Boulevard. These arch details are flanked by serpentine walls that further delight park visitors with the familiar characters of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy, at heights up to 20 feet.
