DAVID KOSICK

Director of Public Relations for KMA, Wm. David Kosick, is a well known and highly respected practitioner in the PR field.
A 32-year veteran of the public relations field, Kosick spent two years as director of communications for Allegheny County, served as press secretary for former Pittsburgh Mayor Pete Flaherty during the 1979 Pennsylvania gubernatorial campaign, and held public relations positions with Ketchum PR, Mediagraphics, Skirboll & Garber, the St. George Group and MARC Public Relations.
Prior to his stint as Director of Communications for Allegheny County, Kosick spent over sixteen years as an “on-air” personality at radio station KDKA. During his tenure at KDKA, Kosick was the host of the popular show, Perspective. During his 16 plus years at KDKA radio, Kosick also served as a street reporter for KDKA-TV.
With a background of success on both sides of the public relations fence, Kosick brings a unique ability to understand the news and what is and isn’t of interest to today’s media.
His experience in issue management, crisis communications, interview training, government relations and general media relations, enhances his qualifications as the public relations professional. Kosick also serves on the board of directors of the Local Government Academy.
