Butler Township Municipal Building
Brunswick, GA
Located in suburban Butler County, Butler Township’s new Municipal Building is a 20,000 square-foot, local government office complex. The building, which houses a multitude of township offices, as well as the township police department, required an exterior signage program that identified the seat of the local municipal government. KMA Design was retained to provide directional cues for wayfinding purposes to serve the many functions and users of the building.
Prior to initiation of the project, KMA Design developed a new Township logo that playfully identified both the historical and core values of Butler Township. Butler Township, which was incorporated in 1804 and is registered as a “first class” township within Pennsylvania, had no previous logo.
The project also included development of Township logo signage for the interior of the building, to enhance the state-of-the-art public meeting room.
